B Surface finishings
Our consultants are there for you from electroplating to powder coating
Surface finishing includes technical processes that improve the surface properties of products, whether functional corrosion protection, wear protection or decorative color and gloss. Maybe a combination of several? Today surface finishing has gained many other applications. For example, it is being used more and more to impprove the adhesion for subsequent processes or to improve resistance to aggressive or abrasive media. Other tasks include removing dirt and improving lubricity; each process requires its own know-how.
We will help you to reach your goal and the desired result faster.
The challenge
We working out the required requirement with you in order to find the most ideal solution for this task. In order not only to meet the current requirements, but also to meet possible future customer requirements.
GALVANIC
As an adhesion promoter for subsequent processes - chrome plating / nickel plating / painting no matter whether powder coating or wet painting. And of course as an excellent surface protection.

ELECTROPOLISH
Electropolishing is also a galvanic process that makes surfaces very smooth and therefore shiny.
PLASTIC COATING
With the plastic coating either the surface of the product is beautified or the resistance to aggressive media is increased significantly.
The big advantage is that you can apply a thicker layer than, for example, when paintwork.
PLASMANITRIEREN
During plasma nitriding, a thin layer in the µm range is formed on the surface, which is very hard, for example to minimize wear due to friction.
This method is suitable when a part should retain its elasticity, but should be very hard on the contact surfaces.
BROWNING
When brownig, the workpiece is first heated strongly (400 to 700 °) and then quenched with oil, so a black Protective layer forms on the surface. It either serves as a protection against corrosion, although the protection is not particularly good, but can be improved by applying oil or fat.
It is also used to create a primer for subsequent paintwork.

POWDER COATING
In the case of powder coating, a galvanic pretreatment is carried out first. This is used for cleaning and the application of a layer that serves as an adhesion promoter.
The powder coating is then applied electrostatically. To then be liquefied at a temperature between 150 and 200 °. Powder coating is much more resistant than a wet paintiwork.
Because the powder coating does not contain any solvents, the ambient air is relatively emission-free.

WET PAINTWORK
In wet paintwork, liquid paint is applied to the workpiece using compressed air, thinner and a spray gun. Then it is often dried for a long time under the influence of temperature.
What unfavorable during processing is, that the solvent passes into the air because it is very volatile, so protective equipment must be used.
The big advantage is that damage that is repaired is almost invisible.
Your worth
